We are open Saturday & Sunday 10 am – 5pm, from Easter weekend through to the first weekend of October.
Last admission 4 pm.
We are open bank holidays from 10am – 5pm.
We are also open throughout the six-week summer holiday term, every Friday to Monday from 10am – 5pm.
Handy Info
We’ve got a handy snack shop on site where you’ll find all the basics – cold drinks, crisps, chocolate bars, and other simple snacks. There’s also a Portaloo available for your convenience. Entry is just £5, kids under 16 go free, and parking won’t cost you a thing!
Payment notice
Please note that due to our remote location, card payments may occasionally be unavailable if the signal is limited. We kindly ask visitors to bring cash as a backup to ensure entry without any inconvenience.

Plumpton Rocks is a Grade II* listed landscape garden filled with dramatic Millstone Grit rock formations, tranquil lakes, and romantic woodland trails. Originally crafted in the 1760s, the site has been restored to its 18th-century glory, offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of Yorkshire.
The 30-acre parkland invites you to explore nature at its most artistic. Walk among towering rocks with names like Lion’s Den and Lover’s Leap, wander through blooming rhododendrons, and enjoy scenic views that once inspired the great artist J.M.W. Turner.
